New flavours and new look for tree-saving chocolate Organic Meltdown
Two delicious new flavours of tree-saving chocolate Organic Meltdown have been unveiled.
The new flavours have been introduced as part of a re-branding for the chocolate bar that appeals to tree huggers as well as chocolate lovers.
For every bar that’s sold, a tree is saved in a tropical rainforest…helping to combat global warming and preserve valuable habitats.
Now Organic Meltdown is available in two new mouth-watering flavours - Swiss dark chocolate with candied orange (58% cocoa) and Swiss milk chocolate with hazelnuts and currants (33% cocoa).
The other flavours available in new classy branding in 90g bars are Swiss dark chocolate (71% cocoa) and Swiss milk chocolate (33% cocoa).
Organic Meltdown has teamed up with the World Land Trust to preserve trees in Ecuadorian rainforests. Each wrapper of each bar carries a unique number which corresponds to its very own tree, and chocolate lovers are encouraged to log onto www.organicmeltdown.com to register their tree and see where it’s situated.
So far around 120,000 trees have been saved in Ecuador, but Organic Meltdown hopes to preserve five million trees by 2012.
Made using carefully selected Fairtrade ingredients from Ecuador, Madagascar and Peru, Organic Meltdown is a premium organic range.
Three flavours (Swiss dark chocolate with candied orange, Swiss milk chocolate with hazelnuts and currants and Swiss dark chocolate) are available in more than 150 Waitrose stores priced £1.99, while chocolate from the full range is available from independent stores, delis and other outlets across the UK.
